The Birth of the Hattie Maddie Foundation: A Story of Triumph and Community
The Hattie Maddie Foundation is more than just a nonprofit organization; it's a lifelong calling that came to fruition through a remarkable journey of self-discovery and healing. It all started when Hattie was just seven years old. She confided in her grandmother that she was special and had a divine purpose on earth.
However, Hattie's life took an unexpected turn when she faced bullying, neglect, sexual assault, drug addiction, and self-hate. Despite these challenges, Hattie persevered, and her strength and resilience shone through when she met her husband and had her daughter, Maddie.
But even with her newfound happiness, Hattie still felt alone and unworthy of love and support. It wasn't until Maddie joined a local preschool that Hattie discovered the power of women and community. The Mother's Day tea party that Hattie organized for the mothers of Maddie's friends was a turning point in her life.
The tea party brought together women who cared, shared their struggles, and provided emotional support and love. It was from this experience that Hattie realized her true calling and founded the Hattie Maddie Foundation to support women and girls in need.
With the support of her community, Hattie and Maddie aim to provide emotional and financial assistance to women in need. The foundation will also offer scholarships for girls to pursue their education, empowering them to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
Hattie's life struggles are no longer just something that happened to her. They became her driving force, leading her to her family, community, and calling. The Hattie Maddie Foundation is a testament to the power of women and community, where together, they can lift each other up and achieve great things!
